Who Is
The Journey:
Rich Wright is a seasoned artist and designer with over 30 years of experience across multiple industries. Throughout his extensive career, Rich has faced and overcome significant mental health challenges, including a suicide attempt. His journey to healing has transformed him into a beacon of hope and inspiration for other creatives facing similar struggles.
Rich was gifted the ability to create from an early age. Drawing since the age of 3, by the second grade he wrote and illustrated a short story that went on to advance him in a county wide writers competition in his elementary school district. Designed his first garment at age 14, which was a keeper’s jersey as he loved playing soccer. He began his working career in the fast food industry with Tubby’s Inc, moving his way up from a regular employee to a franchise trainer. This early experience instilled in him a strong work ethic, team building and a passion for personal growth. He then transitioned into the fashion industry, where he developed his own product line and produced fashion shows with Bebe, Roots, Guess, Emporio Armani, Guess Jeans, Triumph, Indian Motorcycles, Harley-Davidson and Easy Rider. Bacardi International acquired him to design outfits for promotional campaigns throughout the midwest and for the 2001 Kentucky Derby. He was invited as a local designer in Metro Detroit to be a participant in the Absolute Vodka Couture Fashion shows. His creative vision and talent led him to collaborate with renowned musicians such as Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, Ted Nugent, Hugo Ferreira of Tantric, Steven Richards of Taproot, and The Romantics. He worked on the movie 8 Mile, assisted with production for the VH1 Kid Rock Driven episode, and was showcased as a designer in the CNBC show The Profit with Marcus Lemonis.
In 2010, Rich took a leap of faith and dove head first into the jewelry industry, creating and producing designer jewelry without any prior industry knowledge. Driven by his ability to visualize and draw his desired final products. Rich successfully produced and distributed his unique jewelry across the country for nine years selling to retail partners, attending trade shows and hosting multiple trunk shows.
2012 was a pivotal year. Rich has a friend who is a psychic medium and intuitive that channeled a message from his grandfather who was a southern baptist minister in Rogersville, Tennessee (second oldest town in the state). Now, if you have any knowledge of religion this seems completely contradictory. She referenced for Rich a special occasion that only him and his grandfather had experienced together and let him know that there was more to life than just this world we live in. Another friend of Rich’s came through that had passed in a horrific murder that confirmed this information. This allowed Rich to start to realize some of the things he sensed and felt were legitimate and he could start trusting his own intuition as an empath.
In 2016, Rich met Marilyn Edwards through a webinar for Highly Sensitive entrepreneurs. Random event, some would say but for Rich it was divine. He started working with Marilyn and all of the modalities of healing she practiced which was a true shift in his personal journey as well. Rich experienced a jump in the healing process that he had not come close to in over 25+ years of cognitive and traditional psychiatry.
The healing journey is still on going but Rich has come to the place where he is ready to share his experiences with other creatives and assist them in better understanding themselves and the issues they may face on this creative journey of life.
